My best friend of 16 years or something crazy like that. We’ve shared many memories during that time like when I pretty much saved her life from this weird bug that landed on her forehead (insert laughing emoji.) We’ve laughed until we cried and cried until we laughed. In high school it was safe to say that if you saw one of us, the other wasn’t far behind. I had her back and she had mine.
But I have passed that torch to her new best friend. Her husband, John. In December I was lucky enough to stand by her side while she professed her love for him in front of her family, friends and most importantly, God. And again. I cried. I cried at the rehearsal. I cried when the doors to the church opened and her father walked her down the aisle. I cried while I gave a toast (and by cried, I mean ugly cried.. like really.. I’ve seen the pictures now!) It was a beautiful day and I was so blessed to be part of it!
I did not shoot their wedding because I was by her side, but I did gift her more than an awesome blender that they put on their registry. I had her get all dolled up and took her bridal portraits. I gave her another memory.
